I'm not sure how blameworthy the range is. As they explained it, "without disclosing their political affiliation to us, a 'community group' asked one of us to give a talk about gun safety." I take this to mean that they avoided identifying themselves by name as Moms or Bloomberg, instead perhaps saying only that they were affiliated with organizing the festival in the local town. It's too easy to assume you're talking to a town functionary. This reminds me of the scam that MA Sen. Cheryl Jacques pulled on the City Youth group. The group thought they were supporting a government celebration; instead, they were supporting a Brady function, and when gunnies complained that was illegal, the CY kids got screwed out of their paychecks while Jacques and her team all skated.
