H.R.6225 - To modernize the business of selling firearms. [More]

No, we don't have text to analyze yet, but these ladies seem to think Robin Kelly is pretty "commonsense" when it comes to guns...

  1. "To modernize the business of selling firearms"

If that's the bill's title, you can bet the farm the bill won't have anything to do with modernizing the business of selling firearms any more than the other garbage they put out has anything to do with real gun safety.

What they're trying to do is modernize the tracking of firearms transactions of all types. They're beating a dead horse. Take the proposed registration of "ghost guns" as an example. Look at the current backlog of ATF approvals of any NFA item. Do you really believe ATF would have a prayer of registering home made lowers as fast as Americans could print/machine them?

If they ever get around to really modernizing the business of selling firearms, they'll get rid of ATF, GCA 68, NFA 34, the Hughes Amendment, and all the rest of it and let you "Amazon Prime" a suppressor whenever you see fit.

Couldn't happen? Check out the creeping tide of "shall issue" and "constitutional carry" laws.
