About That 'Greatest Threat'...

A group of more than 50 rioters dressed in black attacked the Mark Hatfield Federal Courthouse in Portland on Thursday, vandalizing the building, smashing windows, and lighting parts of it on fire while people were still inside. [More]

What do you mean they weren't Trump supporters...?

The Silence of the Shams

The media relations team for the university, law enforcement and the organization vandalized have remained otherwise quiet about the January 24 incident involving someone accused of stealing tax forms, drawing swastikas on the ground and writing the “N-word” at the Campus Y.  [More]

Any bets they're not offering an ID because "systemic racism" protects "white privilege"? I mean, what else could it be...?

Whose Virus Is It, Anyway?

This past week, Dr. Anthony Fauci shared a platform with a Chinese Communist Party “health expert,” and it went largely unreported by any Western media outlets. Chinese state media, on the other hand, could not get enough of it, because Fauci delivered a propaganda coup for the communist regime in Beijing. [More]

A Narrow Escape

Too bad the predator also escaped.

You don't need to tack on "felon with a gun" charges. This alone ought to be enough to put this savage piece of crap away until he can prove -- through penitence and atonement, and with the burden on him -- that he can be trusted without a custodian.

The Inferno

The secret of boldness? Fear God more than the flames. Fear Him more than your reputation. Let us be done with fainthearted, tepid leadership. Ours is the day to “play the man” with bold, uncompromising truth and love, risking it all for God. [More]

That doesn't mean the risks we take need to be stupid. And if anybody's going to be doing any fearing, I'd prefer it be the ones trying to inflict it. So yeah, "free speech" and not having tyrants with the power to burn you at the stake without putting their own skin in the game is supremely important.

Maybe I'm misreading this guy, but I walked away from this thinking "stupid theologian." Sorry, I'm more of a "sell your cloak" and no "guilt of self-murder" kind'a sinner...

Tangentially related: During my recent hiatus away from the internet, I found the time to read Dante's The Inferno, a very thoughtful and erudite 1953 Mentor Books translation by John Ciardi with in-depth introductions for each canto and copious footnotes. Reading that may sound like hell to you, but I couldn't put it down, especially with all the "side trips" into mythology and details on characters like Hercules, the Minotaur, Jason, Ulysses... Just don't tell the cancel culturists what it says about the fate of sodomites and Mahomet or they'll have it burned quicker than you can say "Dr. Seuss."

So They're Not Just Rights Thieves?

Going for the Gold

Hours after the House passed a bill allowing for unlimited delays for FBI background checks, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer revived a House-passed bill requiring background checks for private firearms sales, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) announced that she would soon 'work with her Senate colleagues' to pass other reforms - including an assault weapons ban - in the coming weeks. [More]

Let the eye-rolling feeding frenzy begin!

So if this triggers a "gun-free zone" exploitation by a lunatic armed Democrat, I don't suppose they'll cop to inciting it?

If it does, I wonder how many gutless Republicans will cave.

Settling a Quarrel

I didn't make this an "Only Ones" post because it's not really an example of special breaks (see 'About the Only Ones" in sidebar).

Monster Hunters

To defeat woke tyrants, the rest of us must treat them like the monsters they are [More]

The irony is, by canceling the ability to do that with words, they're hastening the day when they really can be treated like the monsters they are because there will be nothing left to lose.

And interesting admission, that "3 percent to 4 percent is enough — to change the direction of entire societies."

Hearing Impaired

Today the House Committee on Health Care heard HB2510, a bill to hold gun owners liable for the violent crimes of thieves. As expected, the deck was strongly stacked in favor of gun grabbers and the technical failures that have become the hallmark of Oregon Legislative hearings seemed to occur almost exclusively when opponents of the bill were attempting to testify.  Deputies then make repeated visits to those individuals’ homes, even when there is no warrant or evidence of a crime. During some visits ... deputies surrounded the targets’ homes in the middle of the night. One former deputy said the objective was to make peoples’ lives miserable. [More]

Conduct Unbecoming

Look at what happened to grassroots social conservative Lauren Witzke, the former Senate GOP candidate in Delaware. She was suspended from Twitter last week after exposing a left-wing transgender zealot named Alok Vaid-Menon, who tweeted derisively to traditional parents objecting to transgender bathroom laws that “little girls are also kinky.” Witzke called the statement “demonic,” which Twitter determined was “hateful conduct” that violated its terms of service.
