Planned Obsolescence

That must be why he's all in for "universal basic income," to keep the pitchforks and tumbrels at bay.

Except any fool could see that's not sustainable, and the greater incentive would be to keep what is useful and eliminate what is not.

    A very Marxist view of the Labor vs. Capital analysis of economics. Give a monkey the ingredients and an oven and he/she could labor till hell freezes over without producing anything edible.

    The production of just about anything worth having requires capital, in the forms of tools and raw materials, some sort of production plan, and labor skilled enough to follow that plan.
