Most astounding of all, how could the celebrated event in American history we now refer to as Patriot’s Day (April 19, 1775) have taken place without the availability and familiarity with firearms? How could the minutemen, summoned by Paul Revere in his famous ride, assemble so quickly and with their muskets to fire “the shot heard around the world”? Why would American patriots prevent the British army’s attempt to disarm them and seize the arm depots at Concord, while passing by Lexington in the colony of Massachusetts? How could they have harassed the Redcoats all the way back to Boston if they were unarmed? [More]
What? Ordinary citizens are supposed to have "weapons of war" to protect against tyranny...???
Who would lie about that to us, and why?
UPDATE -- I went ahead and made a meme:
"Who would lie about that to us, and why?"
ReplyDeleteFunny you should ask.
"As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I’ve got a little list — I’ve got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed — who never would be missed!"
From Gilbert & Sullivan's "Mikado"
Interesting article about such lists:

ISTR that Arya Stark had such a list.
