I'm old enough to remember when obvious graft like this was at least rational. Like the gnome who had a permanent sinecure piloting the last remaining manually-operated elevator in the entire state, between the first and second floors of the Massachusetts Statehouse. Everybody knew and understood that he was some Democrat bigwig's misshapen nephew, and really wasn't capable of any other responsibility. Instructive to see Palm Springs trans moochers following in such exalted footsteps.
