The number of licensed gun owners in Massachusetts is falling.
In the past six years, gun licenses have dropped by 25 percent, a decline driven by more restrictive laws, higher fees and a gradual change in culture, according to law enforcement and gun owners.
Predictably:
Some in law enforcement are applauding the decline, but caution that there are still plenty of illegal guns on the streets.
No, duh. How ya doin' on decreasing those? Making any progress?
Chief Crowley (we've met this authoritarian spokesthing before) weighs in:
"The average citizen who has a gun 24-7 I don’t believe has the experience, knowledge and training to know when and if they should use a firearm."
No, of course not, Chief. They're not "Only Ones," with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, like you.
Be "Pro-illegal-gun" and "Pro-guns-on-the-street".
ReplyDeleteI want people who are not supposed to have weapons to be able to get a hold of them(that's why I oppose increase checks on gun sales), because someday I'll be one of those people, just like you and everyone else who cares about Liberty.
"We have ways of making you a 'prohibited person'"
Every time they point out how a mass-shooter obtained a weapon using "loopholes"(that is, avenues that are not controlled yet -like private sales), don't take the bait and say "Well of course we support keeping guns out of 'the wrong hands'". Instead say something like "Oh, good. Glad there is still a means of getting a gun anonymously."

Not taking any bait here, CH--just pointing out the absurdity of trying to control the uncontrollable.
ReplyDeleteThank God some guns will always be uncontrollable!
ReplyDeleteCrowley needs to be bitch slapped until his supercilious attitude undergoes a reality correction.
ReplyDeleteIt has been irrefutably proven that the most dangerous hands to hold guns belong to cops.
They don't even know when to shoot, they don't know how, either.
I hate being looked down upon by my inferiors. And this dumb sonofabitch is certainly one of my inferiors.
Had no intention of targeting you David.
ReplyDeleteJust making a statement about how it would be nice to see one the currently PC "pro-gun" groups like NRA, when questioned about how the latest crazy massacre-maker obtained a weapons, say it bluntly: "So? Every man civil enough to be walking free in society should have the means of putting power behind his decision to choose between good or bad."
