Campus Diversity, Brady Style

"You don't like the fact that you can't have a gun on your college campus? Drop out of school," said Peter Hamm, a spokesman for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.

We don't cotton to your kind around here.

If they truly believed gun owners are the unhinged cauldrons of anger they portray us as, do you think they'd keep poking this hard?

Anybody think you can dialog with this bigot and come to a reasonable compromise?

  1. Peter, you don't like the idea of free people being able to defend themselves from scumbags? Leave the country. What? You want me to turn in my guns? Sure! How about this one...........

  2. "Concealed means concealed," as some would say.

I think we all agree that it's better to have the law on our side, but if have to wait for the law to tell you it's okay to defend your own life, well, let me know how that works out for you.

  4. David, I am sorry, but there will be no more compromise. The only thing I am willing to listen to is all of these sick, twisted antis finally agreeing that the 2A says what it means and means what it says, period. Then they will be free to not own weapons and we will be free to own any weapon of our choosing. My message to the pure idiot Paul Helmke, I refuse to play your game by your rules which are made up as we go along, GAME OVER DUDE!!!

  5. Aren't these the same people that get mad at me when I tell them 'If you don't like the US - leave.'?
Is there a college/university in the US that 'allows' CCW? It could be a big selling point. The brochure would read 'Get the education that will start you on your life's journey. And since we are the only institution of higher learning that promotes CCW, you will more than likely live to graduate.' Sam

  6. The college that actually ALLOWS students to CCW will see many of their faculty leave. Guns and the right of self-defense doesn't fit with their Ivory Tower mentality, because that would mean all is not right in their world.

The professors would have an unrealistic fear of possibly armed students, and they might be afraid to push their politics around with guns under clothes, and HEAVEN FORBID, PEOPLE MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH WHAT THEY'RE SHOVELING. Not like it doesn't already happen or anything.....

  7. 308mike,
While I can not refute your statement, at least one department will be full up, History. Admittedly, it might be full of Military History professors, but they are as qualified as any other to teach the general history and survey courses. Heck, might get more people interested in history that way.

Please note that a number of prestigious Universities have funded Military History Chairs sitting empty due to a refusal to hire Military History Professors. Since, most Military Historians have a different political ideology.

  8. It is easier to shape young minds into liberals if you tell all the ones that have a differing opinion (and are willing to speak up about it) to leave.
