"Extraordinary Misconduct"

That's a federal judge talking about "Maximum Mike."

Meanwhile, NRA has still not seen fit to give a life member--or anyone else, for that matter-- the courtesy of a reply.

  1. I' ve sent 5 comments/questions to the NRA in the past 3 weeks and haven't gotten a reply on ANY OF THEM YET!! I'm regretting less and less for letting my membership expire!

  2. I never get any responses from them anymore. I'm not sure if it is because of all the critical letters I have sent, or if they are treating everyone this way now.

  3. I told the NRA that I dropped my membership and why. I then told them that if they would address Mr. Sullivan I would renew. The tho't was to tempt them with money. Naturally, no reply.

  4. Supposedly, the reason for the lack of a response from the NRA is a technical glitch, and we are to (instead of using that contact form) email them at ila-contact@nrahq.org.

  5. Hmm--whatever I did when I tried to post the HTML code for an email address apparently didn't work--that address should be correct, though, for copying and pasting.

  6. Kurt, I know you don't really believe they have no clue as to what's being asked of them about Sullivan and haven't heard of this until now.

They visit my blog and Ryan's blog, he has independently contacted them, a second contact link was provided on WarOnGuns, plus it has been all over KABA and God knows where else. Do a Google search of "Michael Sullivan" and "NRA" and tell me if you really believe this is the first they're hearing about it--and if it is, what in the world are they paying all those staffers for?

The point is, now that they have, will they oppose Sullivan?

  7. Oh, no worries--I haven't gone that gullible. Still, they have offered an excuse for not having responded. Without offering comment on the plausibility of that excuse, I propose we take the excuse away, by resending the message in a way that they claim will lead to it being read.

  8. And just from recall, didn't GOA and CCRKBA and JPFO also come out with statements? Plus NRA Board member Larry Craig put the initial hold on it?

  9. All of that is also true, David. I'm not for a minute trying to be an apologist for the NRA (after all, I'm both an NRA basher and Codrea fanboy)--I was just pointing out that we're supposed to use a different method of contacting the NRA.

  10. Yeah, been following that thread with some amusement. Didn't see fit to weigh in because it's free publicity, my name was spelled right, and besides, my basher obviously places a lot more energy in my opinions than I ever will in his. Glad to see him still winning friends and influencing people with his affable style.

  11. Well, I'm still waiting for my Official Fanboy T-shirt ;-).

  12. Got a response from the NRA today, to the email I sent yesterday requesting that NRA actively oppose Maximum Mike's confirmation:

Thank you for your comments. As with your other message, I will make the appropriate staff aware.

Granted, hardly something to take to the bank, but at least it's a response.
