There is one thing gun lovers won't understand. It is very simple. The word that sums it up is: Technology.
I see. The superstitious barbarian who views objects as animated totems lectures those of us who know better.
So, Richard A. Benton, why not lecture designers, manufacturers and increasingly sophisticated users of firearms, ammunition, scopes and the host of other equipment and apparatuses about their understanding of technology?
Here's some technology for you, Richard. The rounded end goes in first.
Whiny anti-gun males. Talk about an evolutionary dead end.

I doubt Mr. Benton has the particulars of knowledge about firearms that I do -- or anyone else here, for that matter.. I'm well aware of not only his example, but both sides of the efficiency equation.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't exactly serious when I previously suggested that disarmers wanted to remove from the minds of six billion people the knowledge of a 500-year-old technology. That seemed ridiculous at the time.
Amazing how reality-impaired some people are, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm a bit "reality impaired" as well when it comes to the disarmers.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to make further predictions.
Oh don't worry about Mr. Benton's hysteria and lack of intellectual skills. Somebody from our side will mollify him somewhat by assuring him we are willing to give up "some" guns. Which, of course, will encourage him to move his hysteria to the next level and others like him seeing his success or promise of success will join him. Mr. Benton should be in fear. He should fear ever trying to disabuse another human of his/her rights and he should be made well aware of the cost of transgression.
ReplyDeleteWe are not going to win his kind over. We need to quit rewarding them with our willingness to surrender to uninformed opinion.
They need to understand that we will not accept abuse of any amount. We can't make them believe that, until we actually mean it, and quit giving up a little here a little there while getting nothing back and calling it compromise.
In the first place one should never compromise principle, ever. Compromise is for use when principle equally favors both sides or has no impact on either side or when it is the way to accomplish a disparate goals with each side getting as much of what they want as possible, so long as principle isn't compromised. That is just surrender.
The Bentons are incapable of comprehending that and are too fearful to live as free men, ergo they want everyone as resticted by government as they are by timidity.
You know, to make it fair!
The author needs to move to China. "The Second Amendment means nothing", eh?
ReplyDeleteWhat an emotional moron.
I got one for him. The LACK of a second amendment means nothing!
ReplyDeleteI possess, and will ALWAYS possess the right of self preservation. No matter how much you might question my God given rights, or for that matter God himself. If you believe we crawled from some slime and it's survival of the fittest then believe this we carriers of the are the fittest. We can grasp reality, prepare for it, and using the simple tools overcome threats to our survival.
What can YOU do?
