We're the Only Ones Kicking Up Our Dogs Enough

A hearing into the firing of a state trooper accused of mistreating his police dog opened today with a video of the officer kicking the dog as it was suspended from the railing of a loading dock...

Jones claims the episode on Aug. 8 was not mistreatment.
Oh really? Yeah, you're a regular Cesar Millan, trooper.

Here's the video.

Anybody not think the miserable, sadistic coward wouldn't have used that as justification to respond with lethal force if someone had done it to him?

Who doesn't think that any "Only One" capable of doing this to an animal to demand obedience would exhibit restraint when controlling a human being?

And just whenI thought this story couldn't infuriate me any more, I read about this piece of...excuse-making... whining "there were no clear training procedures."

Does that not tell us everything we need to know?

  1. Wait a minute.

Police dogs are considered "police officers" in the eyes of the law. Us mere mortals would be beaten and locked up if we ever "lifted a finger" against any police officer, to include one of their fellow fidos.

So wouldn't this be assault on a law enforcement officer?

If not than it is clearly a double standard.

  2. Any "man" does that to one of my dogs and I _will_ kill him. And I'll sleep quite well.

  5. So much for the people expected to protect the innocent. Stay classy, North Carolina.

  6. Sadism, pure and simple.
TRAINING is supposed to simulate a real-world situation and condition the "officer" to respond rapidly to threats (dogs already do that) and to ignore pain and injury unil later in order to survive and emerge victorious (dogs already do that). What was the dog supposed to learn from this? "My partner is an ass, but now I know I'll survive being hung by my paws and punted"? This man shouldn't be allowed near animals or children. I recommend payment in kind, with interest.

  7. I recommend life in prison for assaulting a police officer, just like the law calls for against anyone else.

  8. Animal cruelty
Aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
