The laws around the world are just for the little people. Ms Jolie is part of the aristocracy. Not only is she world famous she's a UN Ambassador. Thus, she is one of the elite and not even UN regs apply to her.
As for the glaring difference in attitude highlighted in the two articles, I seem to recall that in the time between the two, their daughter Shiloh was allegedly the target of a kidnapping attempt.
There's really nothing like a head-on collision with reality to open the eyes of a liberal.
How do they manage that in France???
