That sentence out of context like that leads to some serious parsing problems. It sounds like the grandson was a 'she' and was arrested after being stabbed to death.
The Brit press is very coy about it, but a few facts come to light:
Pat Regan was the mother of Danny Regan who was murdered in 2004. Danny was a gang-member and drug dealer.
Danny Jr., Danny Sr.'s orphaned son and Pat's grandson, stabbed a man in a train station shortly before they found Pat's body. Like father, like son.
"She was determined to do all that she could so that other mothers didn't go through the experience that she went through when her son, Danny, was killed."
Well, she should have started her campaign about the time Danny was being weaned.
I'm going out on a limb here an suggest that this story, as usual, has nothing to do with guns, and everything to do with bad behavior.

ReplyDeleteThe subhead makes more sense...

Bad parenting, bad choices, bad people.
But MY GUN is the problem.
Karma.
ReplyDeleteYeah, crappy parenting, but blame the gun.
