It Beggars Belief

It doesn't make any sense to me. Great successes have been won in defending the Second Amendment recently but the fight isn't over. Obama and the Democrats might be in power soon- and Republicans Kirk and his Republican co-sponsors Castle, Ferguson and Shays have put forward anti-gun legislation. It beggars belief.

Not once you come to accept the fact that you're being bare-ass naked in the town square conned.

Our friend from across the pond, Cryptic Subterranean, gives us his perspective from the UK on scuttling the miserable Mark Kirk. This guy supports American Constitutionalism more than most gun owners I know--by a long shot. That such as he still exists over there is a cause for hope.

And by the way--I put yesterday's post up in a rush. I'll get to the other 3 GOP stooges, Castle, Ferguson and Shays next week.

  1. I noticed that H.R. 6257 had three co-sponsors, but hadn't paid enough attention to notice that all three of them call themselves "Republicans."

Might be approaching the time for that party to go the way of the Whigs.

  2. I'm tired of the argument. Let them come and take them. Start with me motherfuckers.

  3. This burst into my head, while I was sleeping. I woke up and started writing this comment. H.R.6257 is a GUN REGISTRATION scheme. That's the whole point. They say so in the first paragraph, about how if you have one of these banned guns WHEN THE LAW TAKES EFFECT, you can keep it. The only way that they'll be able to determine you owned the gun at the point in time of the laws' effect, according to THEIR STANDARDS, is if you register it, either with the feds, state or local authorities. And of course, we know the purposes and end game of registration. They'll bring up registration either right after it passes,or add it on as rider or amendment or change of some kind to the original law. It's so stupid it's brilliant. Come up with a onerous, unconstitutional piece of ban garbage, wangle and fight about it, there's a lot of grumbling, but it passes. Then theres the "Oh, yeah, since we got that, we gotta have THIS." As soon as they sweep this stuff up, they'll be back for more, or the rest. This has to be its' purpose. Remember the '94 ban? It was a TEST. This one actually does ban possesion, transfer, sale, etc.,and since it'll involve registration of a lot of guns, so the grandfather clause works, naturally, ALL guns will wind up registered. It's got a ten year life? In ten years, every gun will be registered, and gun seizures will be an everyday occurance. That's what this is all about, working the endgame of the gungrabbers, thru "reasonable" means. David, Mark, somebody tell me I'm wrong. I won't mind at all. But I see this as their strategy. This the killer law.

  4. This "is" the killer law. Sorry. But as to the Republics' love for its' citizens, "She hath forthsworn to love, and in that vow, do I live dead that live to tell it now."

  5. Registration? Then the next law that gets passed is registration renewal.

I guess intelligent law abiding people would then always remember to renew in time also.

Why hasn't a CAGE unit hit Mell's house?
Oh wait I'm a privileged politician. I don't have to obey the laws or I'll just change them to suit me....

You know what, Lets go back to something that was written well, and written over 200 years ago.

What is it about the phrase " Shall NOT be infringed" ? Don't you don't understand.

  6. Forget about the summer soldiers and sunshine patriots...our problem is with those who call themselves patriots and are nothing of the kind. Sunshine patriotism would be a marked improvement for most of 'em.

  7. But, but , Olds, what about the pragmatists who claim to be on our side?

Just because they are disreputable, should we disrespect them?

I mean, Hell, they learned to live on their knees and seek permission to pretend to manhood.

Shouldn't we take a page from their book? They all say they are smarter and more effective than men.

Some of them even have girlfriends, no shit, I couldn't believe it either.
