Jesse "The Noisemaker" Jackson Leads Another Non-Event

Despite no evidence of legal wrongdoing, the Rev. Jesse Jackson wants a Lake Barrington gun plant shut down.
Of course he does.

It's outrageous that the idiot "Authorized Journalists" allow this racist fraud to get away with so many unchallenged lies, but it's obvious they don't have the subject matter competence needed to fairly present this story in the first place.

And Kevin Richardson and "proud gun owner" Robert Abboud are certainly pieces of...work, aren't they?

Another bit of journalistic omission: How many stories mention the number of attendees? From this picture, it looks like about a dozen showed up. Why does that result in such disproportionate coverage? And who these people are as individuals shouldn't be factored into the credibility of what it is they're demanding?

It does appear that at least one official gets it:
In an open letter to the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran said this weekend that protesting against a Lake Barrington gun manufacturer would not solve the growing problem of gun violence.

In a statement that noted his office spent $5,200 providing security at an August 2007 protest outside D.S. Arms, 27 W. 900 Industrial Ave., Curran suggested it would be more beneficial to find alternative solutions to curb random acts of violence involving guns...

The sheriff told Jackson that children needed to be taught the sanctity of human life, community leaders should examine why young men kill each other and parents should encourage sexual abstinence for kids and young adults.

  1. "Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney allowed the sun to set," Jackson said.

  3. So the sunset of the "AW" ban led to all this urban gang-on-gang violence, eh, Jesse?
I know about 10 people who own one or more -- who are looked at with suspicion even by members of their own gun club and range, by the way, for dallying with those evil black rifles -- who have no police record, not even traffic violations. Contrast that with the "youths" Jackson says are VICTIMS of gun rights.
A charismatic speaker can also be very very wrong. Hitler, for instance.
Amen, Sheriff Curran, amen. When the legal, licensed, permitted (as in industrial regulatory permits) manufacture of a legal inanimate object is opposed, things have gone WAY too far. It's amateurish misdirection.
Jackson has reached the Paris Hilton stage. Irelevant, but continues to be in the news because he's been in the news; famous for being famous.

  4. I think that all the gun manufacturers should relocate out of MA, IL, CA and all the other states that are turning socialist and move to friendlier states.

Put enough people out of work from them in those states and they will start to question the laws.

  6. I think that the gun manufactureres who are being forced to comply with micro stamping and personal ID firearms,, one a month restrictions and too numerous infringements should do the principled thing like Ronnie Barret and STOP SELLING ANYTHING TO THESE AUTHORITARIAN STATE AGENCIES OR THEIR PERSONAL. No sales or warrantee repairs to state or local police unless restrictive legislation is undone.

SAME FOR AMMO - Heavy Ammo Restrictions are comming - The Industry needs to pick a clear side and stand for principles or not - ALL ammo manufacturers should tell state and local agencies in CA NOW(and other states contemplating ammo regulation) that there will be NO AMMO for their agencies or officers.

These manufacturers either support freedom and the second amendment or they support arming the government against the people for the ultimate betrayal that appears to be on the nearer and nearer horizon.

    Principles anyone??????

  7. Mercurysys: I suggested to DSA that they relocate to a free state (I suggested Wyoming) and they said they were considering ... Wisconsin?

  8. Wisconsin? They can visit David Olofson in prison.
And they should be VERY careful to stay legal, whatever legal means to the Wisconsin office of ATFU. People will turn you in like THAT.
