We're the Only Ones Working for Tips Enough

A former Indianapolis police officer has been sentenced to four months in a community corrections center for tipping off suspects in a federal drug investigation.
Four months? For an "Only One"?

Why that's outrageous!

He should have kicked a dog instead--he'd have been reinstated with pay.

  1. A Greene County, Va., deputy sheriff made a deal with a drug informant. They'd go out of state where they wouldn't be recognized and have sex, and he'd help her with drug crimes she was charged with. He'd also give her money. Being thus short of money, he sold a handgun to a felon, and gave another to an ineligible person as partial payment for some car repairs. He also lied to the FBI.
His sentence? 27 months, two years' probation and 200 hours community service. About what David Olofson was sentenced to FOR DOING NOTHING WRONG.
Under Project Exile, the gun charge would be an automatic 5 years, but the judge suspended four years, and all sentences are to be served at the same time. His lawyer even got him a state prison gig because after two years in a federal facility THERE'S NO MORE REHABILITATION OFFERED.
So much is wrong here, no comment.
