Virginia Tech spokesman Larry Hincker said he is not aware of any discussions university officials have had involving changes to campus security after an employee shot himself in Tech's Cassell Coliseum last weekend...Of course you are, Larry. You're just not honest enough to admit it.
"I'm not sure what you can do," Hincker said.
Why do you still have a job, anyway?

At least this didn't turn into another Hinkler-Cho massacre.
ReplyDeleteA Va. governor's campus prepareness summit this week concluded that large campuses CANNOT be locked down, and that email, text, phone and siren alerts can cause "absolute panic and terror." No one knows what to do or where to go to be safe.
ReplyDeleteIf you're armed, safe is WHERE YOU ARE. It's not an infallible magic amulet, but it sure beats throwing books at the killer (an actual suggestion).
If an employee who "needs assistance" suffers no consequences for gun-on-campus, what about the vast majority of students who are bright, mentally healthy and of good character?
Steger, Hincker and Kaine say "What about them?"
Well, it would be nice not to have more of them DIE because someone's having a bad day.
Yet another senseless shooting in a gun-free zone. I guess Hincker's stuck on stupid.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to think of Hincker as an "unindicted co-conspirator in murder". I know I do.
