Train for Change with Obama and Halvorson!
I guess I just must be untrainable.

  2. You know, maybe it's a weakness in my character stemming from living and having grown up in Illinois, but enough "pragmatism" has rubbed off on me that I wouldn't object to the NRA saying that Halvorson is the least objectionable of a bad set of choices.

The outright endorsement of such dubious "allies," though, is where I have a problem.

  3. It used to be when the NRA called me up to try and get me to rejoin I would talk about why I did not stay on as a member of the NRA. Doing so in hopes of my views being sent to the front offices of the NRA. By the conduct of the NRA they are turning a deaf ear to their rank and file membership and former members. Now when the phone calls come on behalf of the NRA I simple hang up after a, Thanks but no thanks".
Check out any photo of Cox or LaPuke and the guns you see them with are the very, very expensive skeet shotguns of the country club elitist. You will never see these bozos with an AR or an AK out at a range shooting up some paper. You will not see them out on a hunt in the Black Hills or WY desert hunt with a tricked out .223 AR style firearm. They are country club elitist and only its white trash membership would shoot an AR or much less own such a firearm.
The NRA has done some good in all fairness. However that group has done far more damage to the Second Amendment than the good.
My answer, simple hang up and support the GOA.

  4. If they COULD train you, David, I would be very sad. Lucky for me, you're the kind of whippersnapper that is not trainable, in that direction, anyway. Don't never change, boss, all of us are going to need each other and the smart ones especially, when it hits the fan, coming to a republic near you, soon.

  5. NRA is the most successful anti second amendment organization in our history.
