Logan's Runs

Considering the Second Amendment was created when prominent politicians Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr found it appropriate to duel to the death, reassessing the rights to gun ownership seems plausible.

Ask 'em if they ran into Doug and Tony.

Yeah, that and guns scare him. Still,"We can still have respect for the Second Amendment, but we should treat guns more as a privilege to reputable citizens, instead of a right to all."

That's some respect.

  1. I personally think that we should bring back dueling.

They do now, and yes it does, quite nicely in fact.

  4. Bringing back dueling to the death between politicians sounds good in theory, but in practice American politicians are too cowardly to actually do it. Just look what happened (or rather, didn't) when Saddam Hussein offered to settle the differences between his country and the US by dueling George Bush...

  5. I have been excoriated soundly and roundly for suggesting that the downfall of our system of government was directly related to the proscriptions in the law against dueling.

Yet, I still know it to be true that the illegalization of dueling not only preceded our deterioration as a nation of men, but was a causative factor in it.

Anybody who gives the issue real and serious consideration can see the linkage between our decaying and the ability to avoid providing 'satisfaction' to those we abuse.

There is more, but I will let the prags up, and the fearful, and the unimaginative. I do ask that all of them really think about it seriously.
