From this post when did standard capacity magazines of more that 10 round become illegal? Is this a California statute? Federal statute? (which one?) I can go into an local store (Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota) an purchase standard capacity magazines of 15 to 17 (depending on the make of the gun).
Unless this is a California statue this information is incorrect.
“Effective January 1, 2000, it became a felony to manufacture, import, sell, keep for sale, give, or lend, a high-capacity magazine. There is no prohibition on the simple possession of a high capacity magazine.”
Of course the thought that making something that's already illegal "more illegal" doesn't work won't enter into their minds.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I doubt anything about the possession, purchase, carry, or discharge of this firearm was legal. But that won't matter, either.
