We're the Only Ones Camera Shy Enough

...ten years in jail for photographing a policeman... [More]
Now why would you lot want to do that--unless you're on the side of the terrorists...?

This could also have been titled "Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise" or "When 'Authorized Journalists' and 'Only Ones' Collide."

Think either the propagandists or the subjects might rethink their comfort levels with the state having a monopoly of force?

  1. There's nothing more I want than the lawmakers to do that here. That will have them naked for everyone to see who they are and the goons they hire to put fear in the citizens.

  3. The State having a monopoly of force? The sycophants will embrace it. Government is Big Daddy.

  6. A Richmond, Va. man could get 20 years for mailing a letter to his congressman saying if his wife is not allowed to emigrate from Vietnam he would like to cut off the head of the U.S. official there who is responsible. He was so upset he bit his thumb and bled on the letter.
10,000 miles away... could that be an EMPTY threat? Doesn't matter. Thanks, anti-gun-rights Rep. Bobby Scott, for looking out for the interests of your employees over your constituents', when they beg you for help.

  7. And Ryan Frederick of Chesapeake has been convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the death of a narcotics cop breaking into his home without announcing he was police or showing ID. They call that "serving a warrant." Mmm. makes me think of nice warm cherry pie.
The jury recommended the maximum 10 years.
    Over MARIJUANA.
How well are those drug laws working?
If I wanted some, I know someone who knows someone who knows someone. So do you. So does everyone.
    How long, oh Lord?

  8. Funnyn that is seems to be just as bad photographing a cop as it is photographing children involved in sex acts. There might be some parallels there.

  9. No worries, they're going to VOTE OUT the current government in June.
And vote in one indistinguishable from it.

Kruschev was right. Well, if the "you" the Marxists were going to bury is Britain. Oh, they're trying here, certainly. Some take to being subjects pretty well. May their chains rest lightly. Others... 10 years for taking a picture? Oh, I'll need to take much more than that to make it worthwhile.

    The UK is royally fucked.
