What Jimmy Carter Thinks of You

I have used weapons since I was big enough to carry one, and now own two handguns, four shotguns and three rifles, two with scopes. I use them carefully, for hunting game from our family woods and fields, and occasionally for hunting with my family and friends in other places. We cherish the right to own a gun and some of my hunting companions like to collect rare weapons. One of them is a superb craftsman who makes muzzle-loading rifles, one of which I displayed for four years in my private White House office.

But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. [More]
Yeah, that's the only reason millions of us own semiautos. Because we're a bunch of psycho cop killers and deranged school/workplace shooters.

Insulting bastard.

Anybody think the fascist left isn't going to keep coming at us and at us and at us?

Careful in comments. As a former president, he is "entitled" to Secret Service protection, which includes investigating any statements that could be perceived as threatening to his safety--and his guys, that we're paying for, carry the real thing.

  1. And just how many "assault weapons" do Mr. Carter's taxpayer-funded lifetime security detail have? Do they intend to use them for evil purposes? Of course not. Perhaps such arms have legitimate and lawful uses after all. How does that saying go... "fine for me but not for thee."

  2. How can people respect ANYONE who judges the 99 percent by the acts of the .5%?
What if -- horrors! -- some of his Habitat for Humanity clients are semi-auto rifle owners? What if some of his volunteers are or would like to be? Certainly there are some; gun ownership knows no class or politicial philosophy.
So you accept their labor for your cause even as you despise them? How United Nations of you. We can think of other parallels as well.
Iran. Hostage crisis. 444 days. America still struggles to regain her place in the world.

  3. "Across our border, Mexican drug cartels are being armed with advanced weaponry imported from the United States — a reality only the N.R.A. seems to dispute."

Yet another one spouting the same old lie. Because, if nobody disputes it, at least nobody authorized to dispute it disputes it, then it just has to be the truth.

  4. The only thing that Barack Obama hasn't apologized for yet is Jimmy Carter's presidency.

    Two peas in a pod.

  5. Hmmmm.....

Assault weapons and killing police officers.

Let me guess, that idiot peanut farmer from Georgia, has a Secret Service protective detail, 24/7.
How many FULL auto weapons do they have? What are they for? His protection.

Now, I have semi-auto rifles to protect me and mine. Not, full auto.(Funny thing is, while in the military, I discovered that semi-auto fire was a hell of a lot more accurate than point and spray.)

Am I out to kill police officers, or for that matter, anyone else?
    NO!!

But I will defend myself and my family from ANYONE that wants to do us harm.

That is why the founders included the 2nd Amendment.

What part of "shall not be infringed" do these assholes not understand??

  6. I'm glad to know that it is (or was while Carter was prez) legal to possess muzzleloaders in Washington DC.

  7. I was in uniform when this sorry excuse for a human being was in office. We would refer to him as "Old Yellow Stain". Nope no threats here, for that yellow, lying, commie piece of shit.

  8. Need I remind ol Jimmuh that the finely crafted muzzle loader was in fact the assault weapon of its day, or so the British troops firmly believed as they were picked off by American marksmen. And as several have already pointed out, the Secret Service detail protecting his sorry butt either carries or has access to fully automatic weapons. How often has his detail shot up a school or wasted a police officer?
I would post this at the times, but saw no obvious way to do so.

  9. Jimmeh reminds me of the little shit that tried bullying everyone in his class because he had 3 older brothers to protect him.

Jimmeh doesn't like "assault weapons"... except the ones in the hands of his bodyguard.

Hypocrisy, thy name is J. Carter, ex-president, present asshole.

  10. The semi-automatic rifle is the most effective self-defense weapon, bar none.

It gives clear advantage over any handgun, shotgun or bolt-action rifle in directing accurate, sustained fire against multiple attackers, who may be hopped up on drugs, or wearing body armor, or shooting from behind cover.

The criminal who can sustain several pistol wound (I'm looking at you, 50 cent) will drop to a rifle bullet. If you need to defend your home and family against a determined group, the rifle gives you the fighting chance to survive the encounter.

There are reasons why we choose these guns over others, and they should be repeated as often as they need to be.

  11. I posted an article on my blog this morning about this very subject (Carters Op-Ed in the NY Times). I have taken an excerpt and pasted it below and wish for your readers to key on his words "At Least on Assault Rifles" which is telling us that he believes that an all out ban is what he wants:

“The gun lobby and the firearms industry should reassess their policies concerning safety and accountability — at least on assault weapons — and ease their pressure on acquiescent politicians who fear N.R.A. disapproval at election time.

His words are very "disarming" to say the least......

  13. Jimmy, you piece of trash, why are you lying? We have every right to own "assault weapons". The problem is, they've been effectively banned for decades. Reagan banned them outright in 86. An AR-15 isn't an "assault weapon."

  14. It must be a tremendous relief to ol' Jimmy that he is now only the second worst President in the entire history of the United States.

  15. Just a point of clarification here. First, Jimmy Cahtah refused Secret Service detail upon completion of his tour as 'president'. Second, it is my understanding the detail is only in place for ten years after completing the job, though I don't know this to be fact but what I've gleaned from my meanderings through reams of paper. Which also does not imply the Secret Service will still not investigate any derogatory comments or threats made toward him.
Also, I 'was' involved pretty much with Habitat programs, founded by Millard Fuller, which Jimmy Cahtah is a lead spokeman for. And, yes, I do take umbrage at his reference to 'assault weapons' and being a cop-killer or child killer because I own one.
As usual, Jimmy Cahtah is no friend of Americans or supporter of the Constitution.

  16. Are you trying to tell me that the Secret Service would come harass me if I threatened to, say, let loose a trunkful of rabbits in Jimmy's yard? Betcha he's wish he had an assault weapon THEN.

  17. How about KISS MY ASS. Why is it if I don't think, act, walk and talk like the left I must be a killer, thug, etc. This kind of crap is really starting to tick me off
