Without the assistance of the agent who entrapped them, they would never have dreamed of committing political violence, nor would they have had the slightest idea about where to acquire plastic explosives or a Stinger missile. The author does make a very inaccurate comment near the end of his article which damages his credibility: "As I've written repeatedly, since 9/11 not a single American has even been punched in the nose by an angry Muslim, as far as I can tell."
ReplyDeleteThere have been several violent crimes committed since the stated time by people at least claiming to follow Islam, although in my opinion none could qualify as terrorism as opposed to murder and attempted murder.

This exactly what happened in Phoenix some years ago. A few people were getting together and just talking about various scenarios when an FBI informant got into their group and insisted they should really plan something and he could get what they needed. Next thing you know they're in jail and Janet Napolitano has made a name for herself.
