Just hearing "Border Patrol" these days gets my adrenaline pumping and makes me queasy. I live about 10 miles from where I was born; nothing illegal or immigrant about me, just like the people who've been jammed, slammed and electrocuted. Not going to the border states is only a temporary safety measure. 40 miles inside the border, 100 miles... they'll push it to the Heartland. We're all suspects.
Took me a while but I realized: The Border Patrol agent who pulled this guy at midnight on an empty road for no apparent reason was hoping to find a woman alone.
