[T]he plan looks like it could work. If by "work" we mean create a snitch-based police state... [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at an authoritarian initiative in FL, "legal" (?) straw purchases in RI, a legislative threat in OR, and the untimely passing of a colleague.

I have nothing to say to the police anymore, no matter what I see or hear. They've p!$$3d away the goodwill even I, conditioned by my PARENTS from birth to respect authority, once had for them.
ReplyDeleteThere ARE those who will gleefully cry "Witch!" I expect it will increase as gun rights advocates are finally labeled "terrorists." We are at the "insurgent" level already, just for owning one, eh? That was fast.
I was sitting at the bar in my favorite Irish bar in Tampa Saturday night, enjoying a pint of Bass Ale. I noticed that the group of five men standing next to me were all wearing baggy shirts that were untucked and extended several inches below their beltlines. The gentleman standing closest to me was leaning on the bar, bent at the waist with his forearms on the bar cradling his drink. The butt of the weapon on his left hip projected several inches away from his body. I leaned over and quietly said "You're printing". He responded "Huh?" I replied softly, "The weapon you think you're concealing on your left hip is pretty noticeable. You might want to stand up straighter." His jaw dropped as he hustled off the men's room. Moments later, all five left in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteGee, if the Miami Beach program was in Tampa, I could have made lots of beer money from those guys.
