Buy a Car, Horrify an Anti

CNN video [More]
This has been around for a few days but I just now had time to discuss it.

The anchor-babe seems stuck on "AK-47," like it's some kind of supernatural device.

Horrors!

That and "some people" might object to referencing "God and guns."

We know the sympathies of those who would object, so it's not like you're going to alienate anyone who's not already against you.

We talked about these guys last time they did this.

  1. Too big, too small; too loud, too quiet; too pretty, too ugly: those people want to grab them all.

  2. I get annoyed because a true AK-47 is select fire.

This is some semi-auto clone and I wish the distinction was made more clear more often.

  3. That's as much the fault of the gun community as anyone's--folks make money off the name and are happy to call their variants that.

I noticed that every time she could see where his logic was going and that it was solid, she would talk over him and change the subject.I do wish he had answered two questions better by asking two of his own. "Would God not require one to defend his second most precious gift to you, life, salvation being his most important gift? Did not Jesus advise those who had no weapon to 'sell his cloak and by a sword'?"

He also might have pointed out that the guns she says she grew up with in the house were most likely more powerful than the AK clone.

He did well, but he could have done better.

In fact, I just sent him an email hoping to help should he be faced with another pretender to the moral high ground.

  6. WWJD? Jesus was surrounded by disciples who were well armed. During Jesus' arrest in the olive grove prior to his execution by state authorities, an ear was cut off one of the arrest party by one of the sword wielding disciples. Swords were state of the art self defense at the time.

What were you expecting - lightning bolts?
