Gary S

In "Comments":
Came across this site quite by accident and cannot believe the intolerant attitude of some and the manner in which Dick's opinion is simply rubbished. Dick has a valid point and what is contained here does not constitute proof - it is hearsay and opinion. Why would anyone in their right mind want to go anywhere with a concealed gun or a unconcealed gun? Does a gun make you more of a macho man? A modern day Billy the Kid! I always thought that the pro gun groups were loony - this site and the attitudes of those that post on it proves it. [More]
Thanks, Gary S. People like you do more to discredit yourself than anything I could possibly come up with.

What do you think with "rubbished"? A Brit?

  1. So, is Gary S. opposed to the POLICE being armed, or just use mere peons? Grow up Gary - the police are there to draw chalk lines round the bodies, they are NOT there to "protect and serve" - the courts have ALWAYS ruled that the police have no duty to protect you or anyone else not in their custody.

I have also never understood how people like Gary can trust the "state" and the agents of the state with their very lives without even considering the 100+ MILLION UNARMED people who were murdered by their own governments. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt...

  2. I would have to agree with the Anonymous post above and add that people who are willing and legally able to complete the Concealed Carry Licensing process are not the type of people who will use a weapon illegally. Criminals already carry guns, and they already do it illegally. In many cases they outgun the people Gary S. and others hopes will serve and protect them.

It's great that people are taking initiative to protect themselves legally. It's the ill-meaning people that are starting to question themselves now. It may not stop all crime but, it certainly will even the playing field. Don't believe me. Go to my site at www.righttoconceal.com and look under "In The News" at the story of the Civilian Defense Blog Celebrates 4000th posting! That's reality!

  3. Nawww, guns don't make me a macho man! But they do keep me free! Sides' Billy the Kid was a murdering thief. Why would anyone in their right mind go anywhere with a concealed, or unconcealed gun? Why, just ask the millions of Texans that have to do business in Dallas, Houston, or El Paso, or anywhere in Texas. We probably got 200,000 plus armed criminals working the state, day and night, and it helps to be able to at least have parity when these little varmits show up for work. G*d knows, the state will do their best to put the little darlings back on the street ASAP.

  4. Gary - we'll take your position much more seriously when you post your home and auto as "Gun Free Zone(s)."

You might want to proudly wear a button that indicates you are unarmed as well. That way you won't be taking advantage of the fact that criminals don't know who is, and is not, armed.

If you truly don't understand why anyone would want to carry a gun for self protection you need to learn that the police have no compelled legal duty to protect any individual citizen.

And I'll give you an example here: When my sister was being stalked, she reported to the local Sheriff's department. The deputy advised that she carry a gun as they couldn't provide protection.

Perhaps you're one who believes that a woman takes the higher moral ground if she submits to a rapist. Local law enforcement thankfully didn't advance that idiotic premise to my sister.

  5. You mean people actually go and get get a permission slip from the government to carry a gun for nothing more than to protect themselves from criminals?

"...shall not be infringed" unless you do not have a permission slip from the government?

No! Wait! You get a permission slip from the government because you are afraid to carry otherwise without one. You are afraid of those who ignore the 10 amendment reminders.

You are afraid to exercise your natural rights to self defense on an even par against criminals because ... the government will make you a criminal for doing so!

You are afraid of your government!

Here is a novel idea! How about making your government fear you?!

Have any of you ever told your Sheriff that you carry and do not need a permission slip from him or anyone else? That you will not freak out because he is packing a gun ... if he doesn't freak out because you are.

    Ah ... never mind.

  7. I've talked to "Only Ones" while carrying concealed without a permit, but didn't see how it would be to my immediate advantage to tell them so.
