A head emergency room nurse at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital has sued the city and a Chicago Police officer for handcuffing her and putting her in the back of a squad car during a dispute over drawing blood from a suspected drunken driver. [More]Well...yeah.
Everyone knows "Only Ones" are the best qualified to make on-the-scene medical decisions. Just ask this EMT.
Besides, if anyone knows anything about drawing first blood...
And gee, imagine that, the union keeps We the People from knowing this smirking thug's name.
Oughtta be a lesson to you though, Ms. Hofstra. Your business should be healing.

I couldn't stomach reading the comments. Chicagoans like being fucked over.
ReplyDeleteAnd the reason they like being fucked over is because they're used to it. It makes them feel good to know they are nothing.
ReplyDeleteEven though the name of the arresting officer is named in the suit, notice that it is not printed in the newspaper article? Freedom of the press in action!
ReplyDeleteDo as the nice officer commands or you will be arrested, even if the officer commands you to assault someone, which is what drawing blood from an unadmitted person by hospital personnel would be.
Any encounter with any cop should be understood as a matter of life and death from now on. React accordingly.
