Reviewing the comments, and seeing things like "I support the 2nd . . . but carrying is asking for trouble . . ." there are to many ignorant Quislings in this land. I need to stop or I am going to start having blood pressure issues. Orwell is proud though since his doublethink has taken off quite nicely over time.
“Peet's Coffee & Tea now refuses service to any customer carrying a gun without a uniform. … and so is California Pizza Kitchen, ...”
Without a uniform? Let’s see what happens when one of the employees refuses service to an off duty officer or a plainclothes detective.
The S will most definitely HTF when a donut muncher LEO is told to go home and put on a uniform. Don’t PC&T and CPK know about privileges of the only ones?
"This isn't Iraq. God bless this country that we live in where we can walk around this country and usually feel safe," says Dusty Broderick, a customer.
True, the death toll by armed criminals is greater in the US than Iraq... BAAAAAAHH!!!
Only read the first part of the linked story. It mentioned the open carriers are going unloaded.
I don't quite get the point of that. The purpose of a sidearm is instant readiness to respond to a threat. Unloaded doesn't really fit with that.
Personally, I've gotten too old for the hassles of open carry in the world of sheep. I live in a shall-issue CCW state so I'll do that and be about my merry.
Unloaded? And, any goon who might want to assault, kill, or rob you knows that.
I can hear it now: "Give me your money and your sidearm, but wait while I load my pistol."
That must explain why Starsky and Hutch always waited until after they kicked a door in and entered the room before they jacked a round into their pistols. Kalifornia. Just can't say enough.
