Creating Offenses the Hardaway

HB 2422 by *Hardaway.

Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, creates various gun show offenses, including prohibiting any person who is not a licensed firearms dealer from transferring a firearm to another person if any part of the transfer takes place at a gun show or within 1,000 feet of a gun show. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17. Hmmm...I found "securing the Blessings of Liberty" as a valid function of government. I can't seem to find "creating offenses"...

I'll keep looking. I'm sure it must be in there somewhere.

Looks like some idiot subversive legislator is trying to make what's happening in Texas legal in Tennessee...

If you'd like to create an offense of your own and tell this stupid little fascist what you think of him...

And yeah, I know. Some will tell you we need to be polite. Apparently because they realize these creatures are so evil and corrupt that they will abuse their political power for petty revenge if you don't show proper subservience, so we don't want to make them angry...

  1. Time for politeness is past. One of the guys at work has a sign at his desk that says "I'll try to be nicer if you'll try to be smarter." Seems appropriate to me.

  2. I wasn't polite. Scum don't deserve to be talked polite to.

  3. I follow the TN Legislature very closely. This isn't going anywhere, and it isn't a suprise coming from Hardaway. There's no need to be polite if you contact him--he's a hardcore gun-banner.

Last year he tried to put about 15 ammendments on our restaurant carry bill. The bill would have allowed carry permit holders to enter restaurants that served alcohol, provided the establishment didn't post a specific sign prohibiting it.

One of the ammendments Hardaway proposed would have required restaurants that DID NOT prohibit carry permit holders to have armed security guards. To protect unarmed patrons from armed carry permit holders.

Hardaway is an outlier, but a little interstate pressure isn't going to hurt us so keep letting him know what you think.

  4. We have our own set of "Hardaway"'s in South Carolina. All of them are from districts in which a University campus is located, which tells you something of another problem.

We need to rid ourselves of these fascist legislators at all costs, by all honorable means (our honor, not theirs).
