Seems to me that Rep. Smith is guilty of projecting his lack of self control onto his constituents. He is telling us that because he can't control himself, we should be restrained in our rights? I suppose if he ever committed adultery, and I'm not claiming he did, he assumes that we all did too?
I live in Illinois. Being neither a cop nor a crook (except sometimes, when I visit Chicago), I don't often carry a gun anymore.
I used to, and will again. I found being armed made me a lot more conscious of the ways a situation could go south than I otherwise might have been, and therefore much less likely to jump into a scene and start making noise.
I would hope that a grown man such as Dr. Smith, who is SIXTY FIVE YEARS OLD and a college professor would have gotten past being bullied in the early 1960's and stopped wanting to kill the guys who picked on him. I guess not.
A blithering idiot, for sure.
ReplyDeletehahahaha, that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing to say to someone like that guy YAAFM, which stands for You Are A F.....G Moron ! And he is an elected official?
ReplyDelete“It shows you that when you have a gun, how many times you don’t think,” Smith said.
ReplyDeleteit shows me that when you have a gun, how many times you wouldn't think. you and i are not alike, bro.
He's just playin' like they do it G.I. That is the street name for Gary, Indiana, aka mini-Detroit.
ReplyDeleteI just left the following comment:

If he's that out of control, shouldn't he be in jail somewhere, instead of the State Legislature?
