I'd like Romero to tell all of us, because guess who comes out looking like the intolerant, closed-minded bigot in a match-up between a prominent gun rights activist and a top "progressive"? [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column urges open-mindedness to our antagonists. I guess whether that ends up meaning literally is up to them.

Gresham's an idiot. The ACLU is a commie front group out to destroy America and by giving them money he's helping.
ReplyDeleteUltraconservative friends of mine condemn homosexuals, women who have abortions or even use birth control, and even unmarried couples living together "in sin." A commenter on another FREEDOM site compares gays to criminals and communists, and presumably wants them dealt with the same way.
ReplyDeleteThey have a right to their beliefs, but NOT the right to force them on others by rule of law. I can understand why each half of the country is afraid of the other half.
It is EXHAUSTING to try to defend EVERYONE'S rights libertarian style, especially when BOTH sides revile us for our tolerance of "those people's" rights.
It's a setup for perpetual conflict, and I don't think it'll ever get settled. But people who have a fear of a constitutional republic and those who insist on one are really just building that air-conditioned above-ground tunnel for the one who will make us all equal by removing ALL our rights.
I almost did not allow your comment, anon, because I don't think it's proper to call a man an idiot and remain free of personal repercussions. I don't agree with him being a member, but he's not an idiot and he at least has the courage of his convictions.
ReplyDeleteDo you?
