"A Possible VUFA Violation"

VUFA Violation.

That sounds obscene.  If you think about it, it is. [Read]

We talked briefly about going armed to the End the Fed Rally a while back.

Mark Roote did.

Watch two Men in Black (with freakin' red armbands!!!) employ coercion and intimidation to violate his (and by implication, our) rights.

Watch how one of the official oath breakers refuses to ID himself (@1:43)--so aside from the NAZI armband, how are we to know he's REAL Gestapo? I guess the answer is defy him and find out?

The Cliffs of Insanity has more here and here.

  1. I wonder if they were really SSeiu thugs and not cops at all.

I think a lot more thought needs to go into how we need to react to any "failure to identify", without identification as a cop, they're not a cop. They're subject to arrest as well.

  2. "Continuing mandatory gun education program in conjunction with Mothers in Charge (MIC)"

Citizen volunteers re-educating those not willing to give martial law a chance?
When people said "Oh yes, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, who have lost loved ones, deserve our support, so random checkpoints are A GOOD THING," they opened a gate, I think.
Also, you will be tested for illegal drugs, if THEY misinterpret your exercise of your Second Amendment right. All your body fluid are belong to us.

  3. The arm bands are a nostalgic touch, but it was my impression that the police officers are required to identify themselves as police officers, and present a numbered badge for inspection and in some localities an identification card. Otherwise, they are just goons in black coats.

What do you think that instead of a lone OC'er vs. two goons it was two dozen OC'ers including some lawyers?

Would it be appropriate in this case for the OC'er to file a complaint with the DOJ as his rights were violated and there is no expectation of a fair trial locally?

  4. I'm in consultation with a lawyer, but I'm not local to Philly and neither is my lawyer. He is however a member of the PA Bar Association Constitutional Review Commission with several civil rights cases under his belt.
Since I'm new to this whole scenario and I don't know what I can and can't say without damaging my case, I won't say much more about the case or the lawyer right now.

As for the "two dozen OCers with some lawyers"... well, I'm in the very preliminary stages of planning it, but I am personally going to wait until further instruction from the lawyer on it (I don't want to be seen as antagonizing them before any possible trials or what-not)... however, if someone else wants to organize one there, I'm in full support... and if my lawyer ok's it, I'll be in attendance too :) (he did ask me not to 'tease' them for now)

Pursuant to Pennsylvania’s RTKL, please provide me with relevant portions of Pennsylvania state law on carry of firearms. In particular, I want to know what state law is on open carry and concealed carry. Does state law require concealed carry?

Are there any provisions of Pennsylvania state law that applies differing requirements on lawful carry by a person from a Reciprocal state?

Does any municipality in the state ( Philadelphia specifically comes to mind ) have lawful authority to preempt state law? If so, please provide titles, names, and email and postal addresses for those individuals, and the relevant portion of state law which grants or limits their authority to do so.

I ask this because of the recurring incidents in Philadelphia where individuals claiming to be police officers have threatened citizens who are lawfully carrying personal defense weapons in peaceful non-threatening manner. These alleged police officers were not in uniform and refused to provide identification, threatening the requestor with violent “arrest” and confiscation of personal property. You may view video of one such event here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=J1YMgdphmwA.

I ask this because I may have occasion to visit or pass through your state again, and perhaps that city again, and would not want to react incorrectly by defending myself and my family from people who present themselves as and whom I believe to be criminals. Absent any reason to believe they are not criminals – not police imposters – not extortionists, and other such dangers to our lives and our freedom, I would, as I have been trained to do, take proactive measures if and when approached by someone who refuses to obey my commands to stop and identify themselves, who fails to produce credentials.

If these individuals are indeed not law enforcement, are indeed not properly enforcing/complying with state code, please let me know what steps your office has taken to prevent a recurrence of such events.

The alternative, if you identify Philadelphia or any other polity as a repressive regime where the federal constitution is not valid, is that I and all my readers who feel likewise can choose to spend our money elsewhere.

Please provide clear and unambiguous answers to clarify my concerns, and so I may pass them on to the many other military members who read my occasional writings.

    Thank you.
