Washington Supreme Court Holds Second Amendment Is Incorporated

The case is State v. Sieyes; six Justices (including the Justice who dissented in part) took this view, two didn’t reach the question, and one signed the majority opinion but with the notation “result only,” which I take it also means that she didn’t express a view on the question. [More]
Wonder how this will affect McDonald...?

I no sooner get this posted than I see Dave Workman is on it.

Let's see, Bay Area IP address...I wonder if it could be either him or a co-worker...?

Sorry pally--I consider it a "mistake" when I forget to carry the "2." Unless you mean he considers it a mistake that he allowed his true feelings to be exposed...

Laughing at citizens who can't get permission to carry concealed and "joking" about getting time off for killing one who carries openly hardly qualifies...

We're the Only Ones "Because I Said So!" Enough

Four women, two of them well into middle age, were discussing funeral plans for a friend when an Atlanta police officer told them to move.

Three did but one asked “why.” In answer to her question, Minnie Carey, then 61, was handcuffed, put into a police wagon and taken to jail, where she was held for nine hours. [More]
Maybe it's because "Only One" Brandy Dolson has a girl's name and has to prove what a big man he is to compensate? Maybe a sailor broke his heart?

Publicly ridicule bullies like this. They started it.

We're the Only Ones Hurting Enough

Since his arrest in a gruesome triple slaying, Edward Covington has fought with, cussed at and threatened detention deputies, once even trying to bite a jailer's finger, officials say.

But that didn't stop Covington's father, a former detention deputy, from telling him to "put a hurting" on his jailers "when they come through the door"...

The elder Covington was assigned to Falkenburg Road Jail. His son, a former state corrections officer, remains confined at Orient Road Jail. [More]

Sweet deal, when the chief crook is an "Only One" who gets to enforce keeping the rest of us disarmed.

That's generally the way it works, of course...if we let it.

And when can we expect the criminal prosecutions and closure/seizures that would happen if this were a private enterprise...?

Oh, that's right--"Only Ones."

I'm just sitting here shaking my head.

GRE Round Up

There's some good stuff being turned out. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Here are their offerings from the last 24 hours.

Ed Stone/Atlanta:

Old TV Western Shows Folly of Citizen Disarmament

I love it when a writer ties in enduring principles with illustrations from popular culture. It not only makes for an interesting read, it automatically appeals to a broader audience and makes them receptive to learn more. In his piece yesterday on Finnish gun control, of all things, Seattle Gun Rights Examiner Dave Workman illustrated his point by recalling an old episode of the TV western from long ago, "Have Gun Will Travel"... [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column lets you vicariously experience what it's like to be "a knight without armor in a savage land."

Also see through an effort in Oregon, visit "The Spin Zone" with Oath Keepers, learn how to buy a gun in D.C., see who is running for the NRA Board, and watch a rerun--and, of course, get the latest from my fellow GREs.

Anything else I can do to induce you to share the link...?
