Stakeholders

Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, attorneys for the city and other stakeholders will brief the media on McDonald v. Chicago in advance of oral arguments before the Supreme Court early next month. They will be joined by others with a direct stake in the outcome of the case: mayors, prosecutors, law enforcement officials, medical professionals and the families of gun violence victims. [More]
Why how inclusive. And gun rights proponents? We have no direct stake in this. We're not stakeholders.

I'd like to hold the stake all right, you damned vampires. Along with a mallet in my other hand.

GRE Round Up for Feb. 23

There's some good stuff being turned out. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Just change that pesky concept to "officer safety" and we've got ourselves a compact!

Y'know, I get more tips on "Only One" violence and abuse in one week than he's managed to compile sifting through years of phony extrapolated "data." If I used 'em all, I'd literally have no time to do anything else.

I'd say the Joyce Foundation is hardly getting their money's worth, but I'd rather see them waste it on Sugarmann's nonsense than on something that might prove more effective.

We're the Only Ones Lighting You Up Enough

A Providence police officer was indicted yesterday on charges that he beat a handcuffed man with a flashlight, prosecutors said. [More]
But forget the video--we didn't see what happened before....which, as we all know, justifies things. At least for "Only Ones"--if you or I go physically revenge ourselves on someone, not so much.
