Animal Private Parts Exposed

Animals filmed for television wildlife documentary series are denied their right to privacy, a leading U.K. academic claimed in a report that emerged Friday. [More]
I was all set to say something about denying animal privacy tonight on the grill when I looked up the leading academic.

His specialty is sitcoms.

Sounds to me like somebody's goofing with somebody here.

Either that or he--and the people who employ him--are insane.

GRE Round Up for Apr. 30

There's some good stuff being turned out by the Gun Rights Examiners. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Here are their latest offerings:

Steve D. Jones/Fort Smith:
The lies against open carry in Oklahoma

Liston Matthews/Knoxville:
Unconstitutionally vague.....unintended consequences!

Chris Woodard/Tucson:
It's official. July 29, 2010

Go. Read. And please share these links.

You're doing that, right?

"Raw Anger"

Lady, if that's what you think is me being angry...[Read]

Second Amendment Sellout

I ordinarily try not to drive traffic to my enemies, but this time I'll make an exception.

I also ordinarily try to keep the language clean around here. Again, it's exception time.

Read on, having been warned.

Yo, Federale:

Fuck you, you racist asshole.

Any time you want to "use" that "stinkin' badge" on me, let me know, douchebag. You do say you're not afraid to.

Come out from behind your screen name, coward, and face me.

That shouldn't be a problem for a big, brave "Only One," should it?

We're the Only Ones Lying Enough

The jury found the officer, Patrick Pogan, 24, guilty of filing a criminal complaint that contained false statements concerning the cyclist, Christopher Long, including an assertion that Mr. Long knocked Mr. Pogan down by intentionally steering his bicycle into him. [More]
What did we just get done saying about lying?

The good thing about the dismissal on other charge is, had Long been the one to "recklessly assault" Pogan, I doubt he'd be convicted too. I'd actually bet on it.

We're the Only Ones Going Swimmingly Enough

Cobb police SWAT team member Sgt. Ken Reda, 37, and Shelley Powell, also 37, were both charged with making false statements and obstruction, allegedly lying about who was on the boat and the circumstances around the accident. [More]
That's the thing about tolerating a culture of lying. Those who can bring themselves to lie for you when your butt is on the line can also bring themselves to lie against you when it's their butts...

Hell of a thing, not knowing when the backup you're relying on, at times with your life, may turn on you and opt for self-preservation. Can you imagine dying and your supposed "friends" cover up the circumstances? If they'd do that low, what wouldn't they cover up, especially if someone who means nothing to them is involved?

Kind of an unintended consequence, wouldn't you say? The cost that comes permanently attached to the perceived benefits of the "Only Ones" culture...you can trust no one?

Talk about miserable. It's enough to give someone an attitude.

And to think how many juries automatically accept the word of testifying officers over suspects.

I wonder how many times these two have been called to testify...?

Because, evidently, you are incapable of dressing yourself.

Do it for the children.

Wrong Social Media Choice?

A Surrey judge ordered two weapons prohibitions Thursday after a youth last year posed with an AK-47 on a Facebook page... [More]
Maybe they should have used Twitter...?

Delusional

So what we're being told, either by elected officials or private sector officials, is that we don't want to do things to restrict access to guns or where guns are taken, because we don't have the guts to upset the people with lots of guns. [More]
Bear in mind Vanderboegh's new BFF is talking about Chicago here. I still laugh over the suggestion that Mike should have put a "We Are Everywhere" sticker on his back...

An Underfunded Program

Mayor Richard Daley today urged Chicagoans to turn in firearms in exchange for a prepaid credit card, but the city is going to have to pass the hat to come up with enough money to cover the yearly program. [More]

I don't suppose "starve the beast" is an option?

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.

That "iron pipeline" doesn't seem to flow very well. I wonder what the breakdown is for "Over"...?

Here's the presser.

Here's the New York reports page.

I'd like to see a "time to conviction" chart. And another one for "length of sentences." For BATFU.

Randy Hillman: Oath Breaker

Randy Hillman, director of the Alabama Association of District Attorneys, opposed the bill and urged law-enforcement officers to do the same. In an e-mail to law-enforcement officers before the bill was passed he said, in part, “These weapons have no legitimate sporting function and will only serve to endanger the lives of law enforcement.” [More]
Bite me, Randy. You and the FOP.

Getting to the Heart of the Matter

What's the big deal?

Don't they already own us?

And can't you just see a future Repo Men-type scenario where a government health panel says it's time to turn things off and begin the harvest?

Hey, maybe they could make eligibility for fedcare contingent on agreeing...assuming that's not already buried in there somewhere...

It is telling, though, how they still use the word "donor."

Conspiracy Theory

Not that I want to start a new one, but this does seem awfully damn convenient for the anti-progress "progressives"...

Does Lindsay Lohan Gun Photo Show Violation of Federal Law?

Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at an ongoing train wreck. Not that I actually give a damn, but all the "Authorized Journalists" appear oblivious to the real story here.
