As it turns out, even a 25-year BATFE veteran (and former chief of BATFE's Washington D.C. office), and current New York City Sheriff, thinks "service revolvers" use magazines. [More]I would actually endorse a bill limiting the use of such firearms to the "Only Ones." Maybe we could make it mandatory.
Well, "service pistol" does sound abrupt and somewhat confrontational. "Revolver" sounds more like a decoration, a child's spinning top. Planets revolve, and so do pretty Christmas ornaments and charge accounts. Everyone likes those. So much friendlier. It's why they say WE have assault weapons but THEY have "patrol rifles."
ReplyDeletePolice Department lawyers train them to say "I fired X shots from my service revolver in the direction of the subject, at which time he ceased hostilities."
Maybe they need to update the textbook.
