A Voice from the Past
Took me a while to figure out who this guy is and what the hell he's talking about.
Here it is. He's just now getting around to an April post?
OK, Ed, I'll respond to you directly.
Yeah, you're either ignorant or a liar--you either don't know that there is no legal loophole to purchase automatic weapons without background checks or else you do, and don't care. I didn't point it out because what kind of moron presumes to write authoritatively about guns and doesn't know that?
You, apparently. And after reading the April post you still can't figure it out?
And yeah, I know absolutely nothing about your military service except for one thing: You swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and you've not only reneged on it, you've relegated yourself to domestic enemy by virtue of your subversion of the Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights.
Libelous?
Sue me.
And if you wish to respond, comment here. That's where I intend to post any further entertaining emails I get from you.
Markie Marxist sez: "Yeah, our Marxist fiction tends to be loosey-goosey. Characters have their emotions shamelessly manipulated by the author to achieve predetermined results. I never touch that crap myself. It's propaganda for our useful idiots. They aren't very bright - it doesn't take much to entertain them."
ReplyDeleteNow that's funny!! David can I sue you for all the keyboards you have cost me. You see everytime you get witty I spill something on my keyboard. Since I'm a class 3 dealer I would offer my help to Mr. Ed so he can write from a position of knowledge if he cares to.
ReplyDeleteJack
David, I believe Mr. Ed is basing his viewpoints on laws and totally dodging the Constitution. Which is a bunch of horse nuggets.
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of the few readers that book is likely to have, one hopes he was more articulate in his work than in his ability to communicate via e-mail.
ReplyDeleteAvg Joe--how do you figure? What laws allow for machine guns to be sold without background checks?
ReplyDeleteThe gun show loophole or guns sold by private party to another private party. That is the law he most likely has his thoughts stuck on.
ReplyDeleteNow on the part of full autos. He's made it clear he's trying to tie together semi-autos with full autos. This has been a ploy by Marxist to scare and dumb down Americans to move forward with new gun laws.
I do not believe Mr. Ed is stupid and or limited to his understanding of firearms and laws. I believe he has an agenda that in this American's personal viewpoint borders treason in attacking the Constitutional Rights of all Americans.
David, we all has seen these types of people attack the Second Amendment with lies and half truths. In order to do such in such a surgical way. One has to know the truth about firearms and the laws to make sure they are not informative by revealing truth and facts. Its act of weaving in and out of the truth. So Mr. Ed has to know the truth to do such a nice job of disinformation.
There is no "gun show loophole."
ReplyDeletePersonal sales between parties are allowed by law in most states.
Calling private sales a "loophole" is disinformation/new-speak, plain and simple.
An analogy is the U.S. and state tax codes - just because tax laws don't tax certain products or activities doesn't make non-payment on a non-taxable product or activity a "loophole."
Does the fact that some states not charge income tax on the incomes of the state's citizens make it a tax loophole, or simply the law?
Incidentally, the laws for classified automatic firearms are so strict that an owner typically can't even lend a Class III gun to a friend. How in the heck can an actual legal automatic firearm be sold without strictly following the law?
Simple answer is - it cannot.
Any alleged "gunny" who takes the time to write a book, and alleges within the pages that a "loophole" permits the sale of an automatic weapon is either as misinformed as he is opinionated, didn't perform even a single Google search on the subject, or is simply lying.
So anyone who alleges such a thing is either a moron or a liar - prior alleged military service notwithstanding.
Even if the premise is a fictional account the author is obviously purposely disseminating disinformation. The fact that the alleged "gun show loophole" is bandied about by other such liars with impunity doesn't make the most recent liar of this fantasy any less of a liar.
If the shoe fits, don't complain about the moniker.
The "loophole" that allows the private sale of full automatic guns is the same as the "Drug Sales Loophole" that allows heroin and cocaine to be sold without prescription nor background check.
ReplyDeleteYes, criminals will violate the law -- only morons would call that a loophole, though.
I think Old Easterner nailed the essence of the "loophole" much more succinctly than I did...
ReplyDeleteMeant to post Ned before - not "n"
ReplyDeleteHe's an ancient liberal who has forgotten what he fought for (stateside Marine during WWII probably). Take comfort in knowing he will soon pass on due to his old age and be dust, and his opinion will be as relevant as that dust.
ReplyDeleteOf course we all know there is no such thing as a, "gun show loophole". But I use the term to reflect the mind set of people who use that term to lie and misinform others who don't know better.
ReplyDeleteHey AvgJoe - why are you alledging Marxists want gun control? Marxists are not liberals, they're revolutionaries. Most Marxists believe firearms to be a mandate for security against class warfare, and are equal proponents of firearms for the masses as you or David are. Google it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you know as much about Marxism as Ed knows about firearms? Spewing BS because the TV told you so?
