A Bit of Self-Serving Hyperbole?

The NRA is the sole protector of the Second Amendment... [More]
Cool. I've been working way too hard anyway. Nice to know the lone "Voice in the Wilderness" has things covered and we can all resume that carefree cavorting and gamboling we purposeless Eloi do so well...

  1. I am a life member of the NRA. I am also a paying member of the Second Amendment Foundation, Florida Carry, and Students for Concealed Carry.

The NRA forgets that the SAF won us the Heller decision, Florida Carry got the preemption law strengthened in Florida, and Students for concealed carry is fighting to have concealed carry on campus.

  2. David,

Your frequent references to the Eloi make me laugh. But actually, other perceptive souls make similar references, such as:

Seems George Pal had quite an influence.

  3. My second published article was "The New Eloi" in the Jan. 2000 issue of Guns and Ammo magazine, based not on the George Pal adaptation but on Wells' book. It's not online and I'm hoping some day to republish it and introduce it to a new audience, as it's a personal favorite.

  4. memo to nra: i too am a life member, and have seen a few wobbly things in the last few years... you need to get a better pulse on us great unwashed people of the gun... but (pointed back toward us) some slack should be given, and they NEED feedback.. write/call/email... the most important goal of the next YEAR is to defeat "the one"... we need to keep our eye on the ball, ond get the job done for God and Country... lets get off of the death spiral and then we can focus on our own interests harder and eat our own...

  5. I'm an NRA life member who donates nothing to NRA. The local and other organization that I choose to support often have to fight NRA as well as the usual suspects.

No need to mention the NRA's rating system.

    NRA - Not Relevant Anymore?
