I've updated my post to reflect this, but I wanted to say it here too... after talking with the head of the Scranton Tea Party, Stephen is not the person I met at local tea party events. I'm not sure where I met him, but I have pretty strict rules about who I add as 'friends' on Facebook so I had to have met him. I will only add people I haven't met on rare occasions, and Stephen fits none of those 'criteria'. I had to have met him at a tea party event somewhere because there is not a chance in Hades that I would add a hardcore republican like he appears to be otherwise. This leads me to: The conversation is still valid. This attitude from republicans is a serious problem for the tea party. ... and none of this changes the fact that the person I did meet at the local tea party event basically called me an idiot for being an Independent. So, these "teajackers" are definitely a problem.
