If You're Just Joining Us...

We had a breaking story last night--Mike's exclusive and my follow-up--that I posted about just after midnight. So it's missed a lot of notice, which it shouldn't, because it's important.

Go here. And spread the word.

Unless you think the media is doing just fine on Gunwalker reporting without our (that includes "your") meddling.

UPDATE: Anthony Martin weighs in.

Good ol' "professional courtesy."

Funny how prickly some get when it's not automatically extended as an entitlement...

"I Think It's a Good Idea…"

He fears the ATF doesn't have the resources it needs... Pruett adds the new gun rules shouldn't only apply to the border states. [Read]

Really?

Well, may your chains set lightly...and all the rest.

The guy's business must be pretty good.

A Public Stand?

OFF wants to find out where Rob Cornilles stands on RKBA. [Read]

Seems to me we should already know, because he'd be out there leading on the issue.

I see NRA gave him an "A."

For what that's worth.

Social Media

The U.S. Department of Justice is defending computer hacking laws that make it a crime to use a fake name on Facebook or lie about your weight in an online dating profile at a site like Match.com.  [More]
So let me get this straight: Lying on social media sites should be a federal crime.  Lying to Congress...?  Eh...

Hell, just recently this same bunch was proposing lying on FOIA responses.

Perhaps if these insane control freaks get their way they can be hoist with their own petard...

A Matter of Policy

Gunmen assaulted two Fayetteville State University students in their dorm room early Sunday in the fourth armed robbery at student housing since last school year. [More]

Can't those morons read?
Weapons on School Grounds

It is a felony to possess or carry, whether openly or concealed, a weapon of any kind on any school grounds, including the Fayetteville State University campus. If you do obtain a concealed weapon permit, you are still prohibited from bringing a weapon on campus.

And from the Department of Irony, it looks like the nearest emergency facility is the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center...

Email shows internal Justice Department dispute, refusal to provide evidence

Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars has posted an exclusive analysis of a Dec. 17, 2010 email from Glen Cook, Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions unit of the Criminal Division, Department of Justice, Southern District of Texas in Houston, documenting awareness of a connection between gunwalking and the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry within days of that incident, and advising the Phoenix division "hire a media consultant" to deal with the fallout. It further shows the ATF office in Phoenix "refused to provide...evidence" effectively crippling a related Texas weapons seizure investigation. [More]
This is a bombshell revelation. A copy of the email is included.
