This might be why she panicked:
In trying to comprehend how their loved one ended up dead in a police altercation, Weglier recalled a conversation Pat had with her mother years ago involving a criminal in Illinois who was impersonating an officer, would pull women over and then rape them. We've even given those types a name here at WarOnGuns due to it happening so often.
The dilemma? Determining whether the fakes are more of a mortal threat than the real ones. Before they kill the lights.

I continue to wonder if the WHOLE truth will ever come out.
ReplyDeleteThe family deserves justice.
Easy enough to figure out what happened. She didn't know the man who could have been a fake cop. The cop is yelling at a 'suspect' and trying to get her out of her car. He is trying to open her car door. So she decides to leave and go to the police station. Cop now sees a 'criminal' ignoring his 'authority' and draws and aims his weapon. She panics and starts to pull away. BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, click, click, click. The 'perp' is dead and the car coasts 100 yards and into a pole. Cop realizes that this is a just a woman and he needs to cover-his-ass. His report is that he was being dragged. Therefore, self-defense.
ReplyDeleteThere is no solution to this.
There is a solution for this.
ReplyDeleteSince cops see non-cops as "the enemy", and since they presume that everyone they meet is going to try to kill them, it should not surprise anyone that Joe or Jane Average gets shot dead for failure to grovel.
Each and every citizen should keep several things in mind when approached by a cop. He assumes you intend to kill him. HIS safety is THE ONLY thing that matters to him. He has complete State sanction to kill you. He knows that the State investigative apparatus will back him. His knows his buddies in his department and other agencies will cover for him if they are able.
Act accordingly.
Wouldn't it be prudent if each citizen was vigilant with his safety and freedom? Submission doesn't work, folks.
