“After looking at what happened in Aurora, Colo., who could be in favor of these high-capacity magazines?” asked Hubert Williams, president of the Police Foundation and chairman of the National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence. [More]As long as we're in favor of you having them, right?
Trust me, Hubert, you--or more likely, the stormtroopers you would need to send--don't want to find out.
So when will it be time to deal with Hubert Williams appropriately for the treason he has committed? Or is he NOT a sworn "Law Enforcement" officer, whose very oath of office - you know, that thing which gave him and his ANY authority whatsoever - he is now clearly spitting on?
ReplyDeleteWill we continue to believe the fairy tale that the vast majority of cops are pro-gun and pro-second amendment?
ReplyDeleteI still do not see one pro-gun, or pro-second amendment, cop organization speaking up against their "leadership" when these anti-freedom schemes are floated.
Do we need a brick to the head (euphemism here) to understand that all cops have a vested interest in disarming the citizenry? The nature of the job is the wielding of power over other people. Why would those who seek to wield power over others prescribe others to have equal weaponry?
Lose your illusions!
Um, cops are civilians, too -- right?
ReplyDeleteYeah, but they're an extra special kind of citizen--not subject to the same laws we peons are.
ReplyDeleteThe Hatfield/McCoy feud endured for decades before there was any gun control legislation and resulted in fewer deaths and injuries from the use of firearms than the piddling little gangster wannabes manage to dish out in just a few weekends in Chicago and Washington, DC.
ReplyDeleteThere are presently thousands of statutes on the books that restrict the possession and use of firearms and the scum bags who crawl out of their cesspools after dark to prey on defenseless people still keep coming. What should that tell us about citizen disarmament and restrictive gun laws that prevent people from defending themselves?
I'm retired from a 40 year plus career as a peace office/jailer. I've been a Sheriff as well as a Chief of a small department and I refuse to recognize the suit and tie crowd in the picture accompanying this story as peace officers. They do not represent the rank and file police officers as they claim. They are politicians who represent the administration that signs their paycheques.

I still wonder how different it would have been if someone or someones would have been in the theater with their CO Concealed Carry Permit & Gun, & been able to have stopped this crazy person. Ohh but wait, I see the movie house is a "safe zone" where weapons are not permitted. Guess someone should have told "the joke" he couldn't take his weapons in there. Wonder how the owner /manager who wrote this rule feels now? As for the administration crawling under their rocks, just for now. Don't kid yourself we have not had enough of obamarama yet, he has a path he will be following as election nears.
