We're the Only Ones Spontaneously Reacting Enough

[San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore] said the deputies thought Orey’s open gate looked suspicious, so they went into her backyard. The deputies ran into Orey, and one of them had a “spontaneous reaction.” [More] 
Hey, he DID go home at the end of his shift. Do you think she would have, had she mistaken him for an intruder, and had a spontaneous reaction of her own?

So we know the victim's name.  What else is missing?

    She made the mistake of not knowing that her property had become a free-fire zone for the police because someone had called 911.

    Ed - Barney carried a round of ammo in his pocket. Methinks government scientists have either cloned Lon Horiuchi, or LEO's are being hired on based on Horiuchi's psyche profile.
