False Alternatives

Now that Establishment choice Kevin McCarthy is out of the running for Speaker, WarOnGuns Correspondent Laocoön warns why two likely alternative picks will help usher in ruin:
The bottom line:
Looks like the loyal conservative candidate for Speaker is Daniel Webster, R - Florida.
Which means it will never happen. My bet is not even a dozen people will click on these links, let alone read them in total and then share them.

UPDATE: Looks like there's a lot more to this that needs to be vetted.  See HinMo's comment and then follow this link to "Cong. Webster Says Yes to Immigration Reform with a Path to Citizenship."

Looks like I at least got the title of this post right. And I'd say this is the guy.

UPDATE: This is what led to assumptions:

  1. Read it, and re-read it. Who are you advocating for SOH? If I infer that you want Webster, more of the same.

"With this announcement, Rep. Webster not only joins a growing coalition of pro-reform Republican Congressional leaders and donors, but also sets an example as the first non-Hispanic Republican in Florida to openly support a pathway to citizenship." - See more at: http://floridaimmigrant.org/?press_releases=cong-webster-says-yes-to-immigration-reform-with-a-path-to-citizenship#sthash.4XAZerOh.dpuf

Whether it's called the Chamber of Commerce coalition or something else, name one congress critter that would advocate for stopping the tide of immigration from any source.
The members of congress, senate, and pretty much everyone in D.C. knows that the U.S. economy is going to tank unless millions of low wage workers who spend nearly every penny of their paycheck on food, rent, and gas relocate here. No Pol wants to be at the helm when another depression/recession occurs. Get 'em here, and get 'em spending money to bolster our already weak economy. "It's simple demographics." - Harry Dent

  2. Facts and deeds... actions speak louder than words.....most enlightening.

Never though Ryan was the man the job and feeling "played" by the situation "he's considering it over the weekend"..sound like anyone else we know (Biden Perhaps?).

  4. The big question facing Rep David Brat is whether he can get the votes. I’m not sure he wouldn’t make an even better POTUS.
    1. His campaign budget was tiny compared to Cantor's war chest
    2. He is a college economics professor - and a very dedicated one at that
    3. He beat Cantor on immigration reform
    4. He believes God was responsible for his victory
    5. He fiercely opposes any form of gun control NRA Rating - AQ

Except for #4 (god never gets involved in political outcomes), he seems like a decent fellow, and he’s never been a community organizer. I’m in!

See link to Daniel Webster's NumbersUSA's "A+" career rating, straight "A+" rating on Amnesty issues, and A rating for this congress.
    www.numbersusa.com/content/my/congress/9674/gradescoresheet/congress#tabset-3

Astonishingly, it appears NumbersUSA is ignoring certain pro-Amnesty actions, inactions, statements and positions going back to at least 2013. If so, is it negligence, or intentional? See below.

I can only hope that the reason NumbersUSA has disregarded is because Webster has repudiated it, but I doubt it.

But hey, it's only the race for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, so it's not like it's important for NumbersUSA to get their grade right or anything! If Numbers once again does nothing and thus get another pro-invasion, pro-Amnesty chamberboy as speaker, they can always have us don our dunce caps and double down on faxes to Feinstein, Schumer, Waxman, McCain, Graham, Ryan, ISSA, et cetera!

Despite the flaws, my guess is Webster's still the most conservative house leadership candidate compared to Ryan, ISSA, Price, McCarthy, and Chaffetz, all of whom voted for Obama's secret "free trade" Trojan Horse. Webster is the only candidate who opposed it. If anyone has more info on this, please fwd.

"Webster endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for the Republican nomination in June" -- a strong signal that halting over-immigration and the invasion-occupation-takeover of the USA his hardly a high priority for Webster.
“Jeb is a true conservative leader of unwavering principle, faith, and integrity, and he has my full support,” Webster said.

PRNewswire quotes ALIPAC (Americans for Legal Immigration, an anti-amnesty group): Webster supported "Obama's Amnesty":

"WASHINGTON, Dec. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- ALIPAC is identifying the GOP incumbents in Washington who need to be replaced [in 2014] by Tea Party challengers who oppose amnesty for illegal aliens. ... 6. PPS. Here are two legislators for reducing legal immigration and invasion to nonsuicidal levels: Dave Brat and Jeff Sessions.
