Good comparison. I suppose using the word "licensed" was a tactical consideration for the masses in order to move the ball toward the Constitutional carry goal.
Both events are high-profile enough that people will know them off-hand. Both feature unusually fast police response times. And in the Sandy Hook case, 4 1/2 minutes - brilliantly fast, and less than half the national average of 9 minutes - was still 4 minutes too late.
So my question is: "Would you willingly disarm during your patrols, trusting only to the response times of your fellow officers to keep you out of danger?" If not, why not?

When seconds count, police are just minutes away.
