Blumenthal Delusion on Trump and Guns a Ploy for Attention and Disruption

“Donald Trump has a legacy moment. When he can seize this opportunity, a historic opportunity, do the right thing and adopt these common-sense measures: background checks for every gun purchase, a ban on terrorists buying guns and ending the immunity, the legal immunity, unprecedented, unknown to any other industry for gun manufacturers. These are your ideas, Donald. We’ll give you credit for them.” [More]
There's a method to his madness.

And the Hits Just Keep on Coming

We'll see if the plagiarism charge sticks. [More]

He's doubling down on Twitter, enjoying his 15 minutes of notoriety. I wonder if there's a psychological term for reveling in being despised...

The Bucket List

HBO “Girls” star Lena Dunham recently told fans of a “wish” to have an abortion as a means of becoming a purer political activist [More]
For some, there is no untwisting.

If she's serious though, even she ought to be able to find a drunk.

Or a turkey baster.

Why is this... thing rich and famous again?  Oh, right, because it suits a purpose.

About that 'Fake News'

I'm sure there's a damn good reason why only one report is showing up on the Google News feed at this writing... [More]

Damn Russians.

UPDATE:  Looks like others are starting to come on board.

We are Controlling Transmission

With a view to receiving the advice and consent of the Senate to ratification, subject to certain declarations and understandings set forth in the enclosed report, I transmit herewith the Arms Trade Treaty, done at New York on April 2, 2013, and signed by the United States on September 25, 2013. I also transmit, for the information of the Senate, the report of the Secretary of State with respect to the Treaty, which contains a detailed article-by-article analysis of the Treaty. [More]

We're the Only Ones Penetrating Enough

An apt name?
The Harrisville Central School District has been slapped with a civil rights lawsuit claiming school officials forced a student to strip off her clothes so they could search her buttocks and vagina for drugs. [More]
If the charges are true, this is rape and all participants should be considered violent criminal co-conspirators.

Any society that tolerates this is a slave culture that treats human beings as chattel. That's the reason I've always found "Our chilren are our most precious resources" so offensive.

And what were the names of the two NYSP enforcers? "Just following orders" is not supposed to work. What's described here merits escalating through a continuum of force to prevent. And such intolerable bullies wonder why some snap and retaliate.

I wonder what political sympathies you'd find if you took a closer look at everyone involved.

Who are the 'Extremists' Again?

As far as we can tell, this is the first time in American history that Electors actually received multiple death threats by political zealots attempting to terrorize them into changing their votes.  Just imagine what Obama, Clinton, and the mainstream press would be saying if the situation was reversed, and Trump supporters had threatened to kill Democratic electors in an attempt to force them to change their votes.  [More]
Well heck, they already call us traitors...

We're the Only Ones Dumb Enough

For an hour and a half after firing a gun inside the high school where he worked, a Bay County Sheriff's deputy played dumb. [More]
Sounds like he's been dumb for a lot longer than an hour-and-a-half, and like he's not playing.

And after culpable negligence, a careless discharge, reckless endangerment, unlawful wounding and  deliberately frickin' tampering with and removing police investigation evidence, the prosecutor hasn't decided yet if criminal charges are warranted?

Top Ten

The report highlights the top ten accomplishments of GOA during 2016. [More]

  • Exposing Hillary’s Anti-gun Agenda
  • Killing anti-gun sentencing bill
  • GOA influencing the Supreme Court
  • “Blamed” for killing anti-gun legislation
  • Enacting Constitutional Carry laws
  • Leader in pushing Constitutional Carry
  • GOA’s Pratt named “Gun Hero”
  • Overriding vetoes of permitless carry
  • Salvaging the Supreme Court
  • The No-Compromise Gun Lobby
Pretty good considering their total budget is about what Wayne and Chris make. Still, I'd also liked to have seen "Factors 'immigration' into candidate grades." That really gives them a unique competitive edge over other national gun groups, plus it's absolutely in tune with growing sentiment, not to mention it addresses the single biggest threat to RKBA and to the future of the Republic.

Die Mas

Looks like Taco Bell wants you to think outside the gun. [More]

And since their media department ignored my clarification/comment request, it looks like they'd just as soon not talk about it.

But others have noticed. I guess it must fall into the terms of use "objectionable" category,

Emergency Action

All gun owners who possess “large-capacity” magazines in California — and all gun owners who possess “10/30” or similarly reduced-capacity magazines in California — need to read the text of the proposed regulations... [More]
Or you could just do what I did...

First Steps in a Long Climb Upward

The law allows for concealed carry in some places it is already legal to open carry guns. It removes several victim zones - places that are easy for bad people to kill many innocents - such as day-care facilities, private aircraft, and public areas of airport terminals - and it makes improvements to school safety zones by allowing CHL-holders to leave their firearms in their vehicles on school grounds, just as they've been allowed to do on college campuses for many years. The new law also also grants political subdivisions, colleges and universities the authority, if they choose, to allow people to legally possess concealed firearms. [More]
OK, I guess that's base camp. Now for the next ascent...

No Country for Old Men

Not these two old men, anyway. [More]

I've said from the start, Trump's biggest challenges are going to come from establishment "neocon" Republicans, who are more and more overtly bent on thwarting him at every turn for what the people elected him to do.

I hope he learned a lesson from trying to play nice with the RNC and turning his back on a natural ally.

A necessary next step in societal evolution, leading to a plateau from which to experiment, and to press onward and upward...

Bingo!

I think Trump has done more work before the inauguration then Obama has done in 8 years. [More]
Yep.

And he's worked more than those who underestimate him, and who thus have no clue as to what they're up against. But they still consider themselves managers and leaders.

One Thing Leads to Another

The number of weapons permits issued in Vienna and Styria for pistols and revolvers has multiplied in recent months, a trend which is seen to have taken off after the terror attacks in Paris and in the wake of the increasing number of migrants and refugees entering Austria. [More]
It would appear they're discovering the fix[x]:

You run for cover and there's heat

And while that's better than nothing (guess what the biggest obstacle is), it's nonetheless only treating symptoms.
