I know Chief Lanier and ATF ignored and hid from inquiries on why David Gregory got a pass for an "illegal" magazine, but maybe if enough people ask you'll answer this one:

How do you square this with a uniform policy defining what approved dress consists of?

Especially since the department needed to approve a policy change to accomodate Sikh officers' turbans?
