Except for the deferred judgment part, it seems fairly standard to me for a first time offender and a prosecutor who isn't trying to be an asshole. Try to rehab the idiot, and if he won't rehabilitate himself let him serve a real sentence.
It does seem odd that they also threw in deferred judgment on a DUI. Maybe they have a reason to underreport DUI convictions, or maybe it is a big club and I ain't in it?
I'm still trying to figure out what Club I am a member of? How long should it take anyway? Of course there must be monthly dues when I do find out.
