#ReleaseTheNRAQuestionnaire

WHAT JOE SCARBOROUGH TOLD THE NRA AS CANDIDATE VS. WHAT HE SAID TODAY [More]
Excellent.  I wonder where The Daily Caller got it from, since NRA PVF won't give theirs up, fearing candidates won't return a survey they think may be used against them later.

His belligerence claiming he's still "an unyielding advocate for gun rights" makes it fair to question exactly what he believes "the founding fathers did ... give [sic] us" and why.

Now it's Kirsten's turn.

At least Scarborough hasn't tried to whitewash his past stance by pretending his motivation was about hunting.

We're the Only Ones Finishing the Job Enough

Mader, who is white, didn’t shoot, thinking deadly force wasn’t necessary. In those tense moments, he reasoned that Williams, who was black, was a threat to himself but not to others. But as Mader was attempting to talk Williams down, two more Weirton police officers arrived on the scene. As they did, Williams raised his gun — and was shot and killed by another officer. [More]
So much for trying to defuse the situation so that everybody makes it home at the end of the shift. Besides, that talking a guy down routine only works on cop shows aimed at making us admire how they can do such a dangerous job yet still be so compassionate.

Plus, we don't cotton to your kind around here.

The bill would give her and hundreds of thousands of people like her permanent legal status in Colorado. [More]
No, in fact it would not. But the gushing newsreaderette sure seems smug about assuring everyone it will.

Such a Deal!

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) is reportedly willing to support E-Verify in exchange for permanent amnesty for so-called Dreamers. [More]
And no one told him we don't negotiate with terrorists?

I guess not.

Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

And a Child Shall Lead Them

Parkland student: My generation won't stand for this [More]
Well, I read your rant and didn't see any solutions, although your embracing a death culture through disparagement of the unborn did not go unnoticed. Neither did your enthusiasm for being saved by armed-to-the-teeth men of "authority." And it looked like Anderson Pooper was positively undergoing Matthewsian furrowing.

If you want to be slaves, I suppose my generation will be dead by then and won't be able to stop you. But you sound more like you want to be a slave master when you grow up.

Still, young lefty, don't assume it'll be a cakewalk. People tend to put more effort into keeping what they have from being taken away. And what did Stalin ask about the Pope?

Here's one thing I did learn:  "Safest city," eh?

So much for "I don't need a gun -- I live in a safe neighborhood and 'it' could never happen here."

The Enemy Within

And in a blow to President Donald Trump, the GOP plan to enshrine his four-part immigration framework came the furthest of any proposal from reaching the 60-vote margin needed for passage, failing by 39-60.  [More]
They're doing their best to ignore why Trump was elected and guarantee a midterms turnover by disillusionment, for which they'll blame him.

‘Stoneman Shooting’ Points to Need for One Gun Law that Could Have Made a Difference

“Debate” with fanatics vested in citizen disarmament is a wasted effort. At best, those attempting to inject reality into the public discourse may help enlighten those who may not have given the matter close scrutiny and retain open minds. As for those whose minds are on lockdown, ask what laws would have made a difference in the atrocity at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. You’ll get the same tired old platitudes. [More]
This is the AmmoLand version of the article I also posted on Oath Keepers.

And Another Meme Going Viral...

Seen all over:
Trump signed a bill letting the mentally ill buy guns.
Trump signed a bill repealing an Obama administration Social Security ruling that raised legitimate due process concerns over submitting disqualifying information to NICS on recipients of disability insurance and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) the government determined "mental defectives," unable to manage their own financial affairs.

But it serves the purposes of the gun-grabbers to make it sound like he gave psychos a pass in exchange for NRA blood money, disregarding that. And to ignore studies indicating:
The vast majority of people with mental illness are not violent.
Speaking of which, look for this to be pushed to the forefront.

UPDATE: WarOnGuns Correspondent Bondmen shares more on this.

With All Due Respect

Thoughts and prayers won’t stop these mass shootings ... With all due respect, save it. What these grieving parents and students need is for you to finally enact some common-sense gun control legislation... [More]
OK, virtue-oozing handwringers, what specifically would have made a difference at Stoneman? Or has the term "common sense" been hijacked by Opposite Day "progressives"?

I also see a viral meme coming from the totalitarian lobby and its useful idiots railing against prayer. If you had to think of one cultural figure opposed to that, who would it be?
